On April 24th 2009 I recieved my call. As I read the letter from President Monson and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, I felt a confirmation of what I already knew to be true. That Heavenly Father had a mission for me in Argentina long before I had ever fully come to the decision of serving one. I want to bear my Testimony now and again once I return from my mission because I know that it will have grown.
I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that he loves me. That he gave his life so that we can all return and live with him in the Celestial Kingdom. I know that God the Father lives. That he appeared with his son and our brother, Jesus Christ, in the sacred grove to a boy by the name of Joseph Smith: Who translated the Book of Mormon. Who is a Prophet. And who established the true church.
The book of mormon is true. Everytime I read from it I feel the confirmation of the Holy Ghost testifying of this. I know that President Monson is a Prophet and that he recieves revelation from God. I know that Faith can bring to pass Miracles. That following the commandments brings true happiness which can't be matched by the shallow whims of the world. I know that families can live together forever. That the worth of a soul is great in the eyes of God and that we are all brothers and sisters. I am so grateful for the gospel in my life, for the peace and happiness it brings.
